To maintain the freshness of your Silk Tallow products, store the product at room temperature, in a dry place and away from direct sunlight and heat. At higher temperatures it may melt and turn into a firmer balm. This will not affect its effectiveness, but will affect its texture. Also avoid humid areas, as moisture on the surface can cause bacteria or mold to grow.

Yes, because Silk Tallow is completely natural, the structure can change depending on the temperature. This is completely normal and a sign that there are no artificial stabilizers or fillers in it.

In colder temperatures the tallow will become a bit firmer. In that case it is best to warm the cream between your fingers first, so it becomes soft and spreadable again.

At warmer temperatures, the whipped tallow can soften or melt partly, because the melting point is around 35 degrees. The effect remains the same, although the cream feels a little less airy.
