During my exchange in South Korea, I was introduced to the world of K-beauty, where skincare is almost a lifestyle. The famous 10-step routine was everywhere, and I decided to give it a try. I was hoping for that radiant glass skin , but instead I got more pimples and irritations. My skin felt overloaded with too many products that did nothing for me.

Back in Amsterdam, I found myself standing in front of shelves of skincare again, but most products were full of chemicals, preservatives, and synthetic ingredients. My skin was sensitive, reacting to everything, and nothing was giving me the healthy glow I was looking for. I realized I needed a simple, natural solution—something that worked with my skin, instead of against it.

And so began my quest for traditional skincare methods. When I discovered tallow—an ancient, pure ingredient—everything fell into place. I was drawn to its simplicity: an ingredient that was not only pure, but also deeply nourishing. And so I started Silk Tallow , a skincare line made with 100% grass-fed beef tallow. My mission is to provide an alternative to synthetic, mass-produced products and bring back the beauty of pure, sustainable skincare. Each jar is carefully handmade in the Netherlands, freshly prepared in small batches—the way skincare was meant to be.
